God wants to send you to the world on a mission of preaching and exhortation, but the world will not believe you..
I know your deeds. See, I have placed before you an open door that no one can shut. (Rev 3:8)
I believe there are many people who are looking at a ‘closed door’ right now in their life or ministry and wondering what God is doing. You may be feeling disempowered. You may be tempted to feel discouraged. But Heaven’s reality is that you are empowered to do everything God requires of you at this moment in time.
An ‘open door’ is a metaphor for an opportunity and access—whereas a ‘closed door’ means that access to something is currently being denied or blocked.
When doors and gates are closed, a person will be prevented from entering the rightful place to access ones inheritance.
“Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle. Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.”
Psalm 24:7-9.
In the moment of closed doors, a child of God will be caged. If doors are shut, a believer will be behind doors without getting to his/her right destinations. That child of God will not be able to manifest. Such fellow shall be in oblivion. He or she will be incapacitated. Every struggle will amount to nothing. Efforts will be meaningless. Labours will be in futility. Even sweating will be futile. There will be no result to show for efforts expended. The person’s voice will not be heard.
I have to constantly remind myself that happiness is not a destination, it’s a journey. We will all have our times of confusion, sorrow, despair, rejection, let-downs. We don’t become happy when we stop having these moments. We become happy when we STOP letting these instances take over our lives.
We take back our power. We refuse to let any other person or circumstance run our life for us. We choose in this very moment to change what we don’t accept and accept what we cannot change.
When one is experiencing closed doors or gates, freedom will be far-fetched. Freedom will be denied. A case in hand was Paul and Silas in prison.
